This program is directed to anyone interested in experiencing British theatre and music.  Join us for a 7-day music and theatre tour of London and cities surrounding historic Harlaxton Manor.  Enjoy theatre productions at the National Theatre, London’s West End, and the Royal Shakespeare Company, as well as music performances in local pubs, cathedrals, and regional opera. Daily excursions with performances to Stratford, Lincoln, Nottingham, Leeds, or York dependent on performance availability in select cities and tours including Stratford historical Shakespeare sites and the Globe and National Theatres.

Participants will enjoy a student experience at Harlaxton Manor for 5 nights, with room and board included, and time in London with hotel accommodation for 2 nights.

This program is designed to facilitate scholarly writing for academics. Participants will enjoy uninterrupted writing time at Harlaxton Manor – a beautiful and inspirational setting.  The main focuses of this retreat are to (a) give attendees the time to work on their projects away from the stresses of daily life, and (b) build community with other writers. The core goal of this retreat is to allow scholars to engage in productive academic writing, reflect on their writing practices, and to offer accountability that will facilitate meaningful efforts toward completing one’s writing goals. This retreat is primarily self-directed and is designed for participants to engage in writing. The beautiful Harlaxton Manor is positioned in the peaceful English countryside and provides a context that will facilitate focused writing, while fellow retreat participants will offer meaningful connection with a community of scholars.
