We begin accepting applications 1 year in advance of the start date of your chosen program. For example, if you want to attend Harlaxton in Fall 2026, you can submit your application as soon as Fall 2025. You can find more information on our student application information page. After you’ve received an admissions decision, you will receive additional information about registering for courses, booking flights, and travel opportunities. Before your departure for Harlaxton, you will also be invited to a series of pre-departure orientation events.

Cost of a program at Harlaxton depends on your selected program and your home institution. For our semester programs, you will want to work with your study abroad and financial aid office.  For our summer programs, you can find details on our programs pages.

For all our programs, students are responsible for booking their flights to/from the United Kingdom to arrive by 9am on the program start date and to check out on the program end date. Participants will receive details on their specific program dates and any group flight options during orientation.

Health insurance is provided for all participants through our EIIA policy, and there are good options for your student’s health needs while at Harlaxton. You can find details about this on our student Health and Wellbeing page.

You will receive lots of information about options for using your cell phone and spending money while abroad in orientations. There are several options for using your cell phone abroad including eSims and/or international data plans. We’ll discuss your options in orientation! You should speak with your bank to understand any potential foreign transaction fees and inform them of your study abroad dates.

Harlaxton programs provide lots of travel opportunities for students, and we also encourage you to pursue your curiosity in traveling independently with the support of our team.
